This cigar has the most unique origin story of any cigar we’ve ever made!

A couple of years ago, we began working on a maduro blend that would be released as an Ezra Zion Anniversary cigar.

As the the days and weeks went on, we began to take different directions and work separately…just following the tobacco where it led us. 

After a couple of months, we’d each arrived at a VERY SEPARATE and VERY DIFFERENT maduro blend—and each one of us thought the one we made was the better cigar.

And we freakin’ dug our heels in on it. And argued about it…Like a lot! For months!

Neither one of us would give an inch…

…A true MEXICAN STANDOFF!

Not only that…but the illustrious members of our super-secret tasting panel were split right down the middle. Half liked Chris’ blend a little better—half liked Kyle’s blend a little better.

(At an impasse, we thought we’d do a new Blend Battle—with a Kyle and a Chris blend.)

Then one of our tasting panel members sent us this text: “Hey gents. What if you just combine those 2 mad Anniversary blends together in to like one super-cigar. Like how those f**kin’ Transformers combine all together into one big damn transformer. lol.”

So that’s exactly what we did…And the results blew our ever-loving minds!

MEXICAN STANDOFF L.E. is a full-throttle, hang-on-for-dear-life, intoxicating smoking experience! This blend is the epitome of....the sum of a cigar is even greater than its parts!

So at long last, we finally present to you MEXICAN STANDOFF L.E.

MEXICAN STANDOFF L.E. is a 6x52 box-press toro with a broom foot. The wrapper is a pristine and oily 9-year-aged Mexican San Andres maduro leaf. Binder and filler tobaccos will remain a closely guarded secret.

Full-bodied. Med/Full strength. All tobaccos aged between 5-12 years.

1st 3rd: Extra-dark chocolate, dark brown sugar, vanilla bean, black pepper, espresso beans, butter, maple wood, cinnamon stick…

2nd 3rd: Black cocoa, aged leather, cake frosting, Tootsie Roll, clove, raw cane sugar, toasted almond, bourbon whiskey…

3rd 3rd: White peppercorn, graham crackers, chocolate cake batter, nutmeg, black licorice, all-spice, dark caramel

MEXICAN STANDOFF L.E. is a complete phenom! Extremely delicious and intensely complex in flavor! Without a doubt, one of our favorite cigars ever!
